Each year, our Y4 and Y6 cohorts enjoy residential visits which support their independence, confidence, social skills, and physical and mental wellbeing.

 

Nell Bank

In February 2025 our Year 4 class will spend three days at the Nell Bank Residential site in Ilkley, which despite being only a 20-minute drive from school, feels much more remote - perfect for our lower key stage 2 pupils who may never have stayed away from family before.

There, pupils and staff enjoy a range of activities, which may include: pond dipping, problem solving, team building. These are all interconnected with our curriculum and build upon prior knowledge and understanding in PSHE, History, Geography, Science and PE. 
         
 

Willersley Castle 

 In November 2024, our Year 6 pupils will attend a three day residential to Willersley Castle in the Peak District. Being a little further from home, this visit will provide our pupils with the opportunity to build resilience, perseverance and team work skills through a variety of adventurous activities.
